Unlocked Novatel MiFi 2372 Unaffected by Recall
At eXpansys, we treat the safety of our customers with the utmost concern. In recent days, there have been many press releases and blogs regarding recall issues with the Novatel MiFi 2372. The Bell version was recalled, followed shortly by the Rogers version of the mobile hotspot. There were some issues in earlier versions of this device with the battery door being very difficult to remove. Because of this some users were using sharp objects to open them, resulting in damage to the battery, leading to potential leakage or explosion. The moment we heard about this, eXpansys was in touch with our contacts at Novatel to see what action should be taken. As of today May 6th, we have been assured by Novatel that all units of the unlocked version of the MiFi 2372 are not affected by this recall. These units were manufactured after the Bell and Rogers units, and ship with the reworked battery door already included.
